Harmful Immigration Laws Don’t Just Effect Immigrants
Argue that Arizona SB 1070 is unjust. It allows for exceptions to be made for law.  hurts families:
Deported men can no longer send money back to their families to support them
children are citizens but parents are illegal; if immigration finds out then the family will have to make hard decisions
kids education is jeopardized- illegal to do so
kids denied education will live a life of crime: resulting in poverty
the law is causing a more violent America

get an education in their own country- Mexico’s education is bad. its violent in Mexico and run by cartels
even send the workers back- given a chance of working is taken away the first try, they will find a way back and turn to crime for easier money

Arizona SB 1070 allows police to use their judgment to determine who is an immigrant, but this sound like a justification for racial profiling. Example of someone profiling quote
who looks illegal
stereotype would be used to determine how looks like what
a man with a Spanish accent with citizenship would be harassed
people have to walk around with proof of citizenship- Nazi Germany Jews id

isn’t carrying id the law? no
Makes it easier to get out the criminals- do Mexicans or illegals do as much crime as any other race or citizen

Immigrants are needed in this country to keep the enconomy stable.  Not many americans are willing to work long, hard hours and get paid under minimum wage.  Businesses would be hurt if conumers had to pay increased 0rices because american workers demand higher pay and benefits for their time and effort.
americans are lazy
Castro is a pack man that hauls about 15 tons a day for $8 per hour (Lynch)
americans demand higher pay and benefits
example of tomato farm
conection between the declining economy and deportation
hurts farmers the most-who will pick their crop? not americans-they quit
southern states agriculture is a big part of the enconomy- it would hurt them the most but they are the one with the harshest laws.

americans need the jobs-but will they do the work?
what about outsourcing jobs to middle east

A USA Today Article mentions that:
Standing on the outskirts of a recent pro-immigrant rally in Costa Mesa, Calif., he says he's seen Americans of all races take jobs alongside him only to leave once they see how backbreaking the work is.
"I've seen them quit after one week," Castro says. "You get sweaty. You get dirty. Your back hurts. ... They just don't want to do it."

If there is a house to be built, and the owner is also the general manager, at least 5 gerneal laborers will be needed.  They are all American citizens so they want atleast $28,000 a year

Though America is know for being the mixing pot of the world, is everyone really welcome.  You can catch it every day: a friend or a peer sees yard work being done and comments on the fact that all of them are Mexicans.  This leads to the assumption that they are all illegal immigrants and that they don’t belong in America, taking peoples jobs.  Did they forget that their own ancestors were immigrants, taking other people’s jobs?  Sense when is it wrong to be a immigrant in American?  A land born of immigrants and those looking for work to send money back to their families in their home country.  Should Mexicans be frowned upon for doing what the same thing that needed to be done for us to be here today?  The answer is no, these people should be welcomed into our society for their extraordinary family values.  However, large fences are being built to keep these people our.  In southern states like Alabama, there are laws in place that allow police to racially profile Hispanics and teachers to play border patrol in the classrooms (Raines).

Toll v. Moreno- illegal immigrant isnt issued instate tuition at University of Maryland. Court  allowed some states to pass statues that deny undocumented students eligibility for in-state tuition, scholarships, or even bar them from enrollment at public colleges and universities.
Denies immigrant a good education. without eduation they are forced into if life of physical hard work, a bitterness for the US, and a continuing chain of generation that dont get education. stuck in poverty and hard to get out. with poverty comes crime. uviersities expand poverty by denying instate tuion. even the middle class have a hard time affording college and they seek out instate tuition but still hit financial problems. a poverty striken immigrant can barely fincance a instate tution without losing everying so they definatly cant handle an out of state tuirion.

Plyler v Doe- school district charged illegal immigrants $1000 to attend school to make up for the money the school doesnt make because the illegal immigrants dont pay taxes.  Augued that this defies the 14th ammendment because the law discriminates against children.   The majority also observed that denying the children in question a proper education would likely contribute to "the creation and perpetuation of a subclass of illiterates within our boundaries, surely adding to the problems and costs of unemployment, welfare, and crime."
Obama demands information from Alabama schools to determine whether their new immigration law is affecting the attendance of hispanic students. the law requires school districts to check all students’ immigration statuses, but the a federal appeals court stopped the process. (LATimes
Article).

On April 9, 1609, the edict was signed to expel the Moriscos.[3] The government knew that exiling so many would be problematic. It was decided to start with Valencia, where the Morisco population was greatest. Preparations were taken in the strictest secrecy. Starting in September, tercio battalions arrived from Italy.[4] They took up positions in the main ports of Valencia: Alfaques, Dénia, and Alicante. On September 22, the viceroy ordered the publication of the decree. The Valencian aristocracy met with the government to protest the expulsion, as losing their workers would ruin their agricultural incomes. The government offered some of the confiscated property and territory of the Moriscos to them in exchange, but this didn't come close to compensating for the loss. The Moriscos would be allowed to take anything that could carry, but their homes and land would pass into the hands of their masters. Burning or other destruction of their homes before the transfer was prohibited on pain of death.[4]Certain exceptions were granted: 6 families out of every 100 would be allowed to stay behind and maintain the infrastructure of towns that had been predominantly Morisco-inhabited. Very few took advantage of this, considering that it was thought likely that they'd be exiled anyway later. Additionally, the exile was optional for children less than 4 years old. This was later expanded to 16 years of age. Archbishop Ribera strongly opposed this part of the measure; he lobbied that at the very least the children should be separated from their parents, enslaved, and Christianized "for the good of their souls."[4]

Expulsion of the Moriscos
The plan was to deport all of the Moriscos from Spain in 1609.  They were seen as a problem for some reason.  Roughly 200,000 (check that) were deported to the north and south of Spain: France and Northern Africa.  An official believed in in keeping the children below age 16 to enslave and turn into Christians.  Their absence hurt agriculture and caused landlords to increase the price of rent.  The Moriscos specialized in many different areas of work and their departure left a lot of work to be done (Expulsion).  Tenants left and the high prices prevented the possibility of new tenants. These events caused areas of Spain to me economically damaged for decades.
